There is a quality of light in Wanaka that feels almost borrowed from another century. It’s the kind that fell across the canvases of the old masters, soft and deliberate. This is the light I work in, and the tradition I draw from.

Every portrait begins with a moment of connection, a child mid laugh or a family leaning into each other. My work is fine art photography, considered timeless and made to be held, printed, and passed down; not scrolled past. Whether in the studio or in the wild backdrop of the Southern Alps, my aim is the same as it was for the painters who came before me; to capture not just how you looked, but who you were, in this particular season of your life.
